The Department of Paediatric Gastroenterology at Columbia Asia Hospital has a highly specialised team which provides paediatric gastroenterology services. The team has well qualified and trained personnel including a Paediatric Gastroenterologist, Paediatric Gastrointestinal Surgeon, Paediatric Allergy Specialist, Nutritionists and support staff. The focus is on evidence based comprehensive healthcare for all neonates and children requiring elective or emergency gastroenterology services.

The paediatric gastroenterology department offers the services in a caring environment and provides advanced clinical facilities. Some of the most advanced diagnostic facilities are available and the staff are specially trained to make young patients feel comfortable and confident. Our whole approach is based on a close partnership with both parents and children, helping them understand the disease and enable parents to participate in their child’s care.

The feeding clinic is a specialised unit which evaluates and treats children with fussy feeding, feed refusal and faltering weight. The department also run paediatric food allergy clinic which specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of severe food allergies and atopy (hypersensitivity) in children from ages 0–16. And clinics for children with evacuation problems viz., constipation, fecal incontinence, toilet training issues and urinary incontinence.
