Shockwave Lithotripsy (ESWL)
Stones may be “pulverized” with acoustic shockwaves using a machine to perform extra corporeal shockwave lithotripsy.
Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL)
Extraction of stones through a small incision made through the back.
Ureteroscopy and Laser Lithotripsy (URS/RIRS)
Blasting the stone with a laser using a tiny endoscope up into the kidney from the natural urinary passageway.
Endoscopic Vesicolithotripsy
Crushing and fragmentation of stones in the bladder and removal through a cystoscope.
