Seremban, Nov 3, 2019 -- Private hospital, Columbia Asia Hospital - Seremban, organized a unicorn-themed run at Dataran Centrio Seremban 2, today. The 5km family run, Columbia Asia Hospital - Seremban Unicorn 5K Fun Run, was held in conjunction with its 20 years of providing healthcare services to the community. This year, some 2300 runners took part including families with young children.
Along the 5km route were pit-stops themed Candy Land, Rainbow Road and Unicorn Trail scenarios. Each had a magical theme with insta-worthy backdrops. Supporting a healthy lifestyle starts with educating consumers about how to make the right food choices. At Candy Land, runners were taught how to tell the difference between good sugar, and bad ones! The next pit-stop was The Rainbow Road which featured a trail of colourful umbrellas. Finally, the Unicorn Trail lead the runners to the mystic-themed finish line, where a life-sized ‘unicorn’ was waiting to pose with them!
This CSR effort by Columbia Asia Hospital - Seremban raised RM10,000 for the children of Pertubuhan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Seremban (PERKEKAS) and Pusat Jagaan Orang Kurang Upaya Si Putih. This is the second year that Columbia Asia Hospital - Seremban has held a fund-raising event in aid of the NGOs.
Ms Jasmine and Ms Thivya who are respectively from PERKEKAS and Pusat Jagaan Orang Kurang Upaya Si Putih received a mock cheque from Columbia Asia Hospital - Seremban Regional General Manager, Ms Lee Hui Chuen accompanied by Columbia Asia Hospital - Seremban General Manager, Ms Alice Chong. YB Tuan Arul Kumar the EXCO & ADUN Nilai accompanied by Regional General Manager of Columbia Asia Hospital – Seremban, Lee Hui Chuen and General Manager of Columbia Asia Hospital – Seremban, Alice Chong, flagged off the runners.
