Columbia Asia and Lions Club International organise WALK FOR CURE 2012 in conjunction with Diabetes Awareness Day

September 14, 2012

Columbia Asia group of hospitals in collaboration with Lions Club International will be organizing a walk for the public, Walk for Cure, in conjunction with Diabetes Awareness Day. This event is also held in support of the Global and Malaysia Diabetes Foundation. It will be officiated by Malaysia’s Minister of Health, Y.B. Dato’ Sri Liow Tiong Lai.

This fund-raising event serves as a great opportunity to create public awareness on diabetes in Malaysia and gives Columbia Asia an opportunity to partake in this community service. All proceeds from this charity walk will go to Malaysian Diabetes Association.

An estimate of about 3,000 participants will join this 30-minute walk. As such, Walk for Cure will be attempting to qualify for entry in the Malaysian Book of Records as the largest walk ever organized for diabetes awareness in Malaysia.

The walk will be held at three different locations in Malaysia simultaneously, with the main venue being Bukit Jalil Park in Selangor. Columbia Asia Hospitals (CAH) are assigned to organize the event at assigned locations. Please find details below:
