My Life as a Diabetic Child

Columbia Asia Hospital recently held an event for diabetic children to tell their stories to the world. Named Celebration of Stories Untold on ‘My Life as a Diabetic Child,’ the event was Columbia Asia’s latest initiative beyond the scope of patient-care to celebrating the lives of diabetic children. The event was also a closure to their series of events in conjunction with World Diabetes Awareness Month and in collaboration with Diabetes Malaysia.

Children under 16 years old with Type 1 diabetes were given the opportunity to write about their life experiences through creative writing, either in a story or a poem format.
