Columbia Asia Lauded for Healthcare Excellence at Baby Talk & MamaPapa Readers’ Choice Awards 2022
SELANGOR; Dec 15, 2022 – In acknowledgment of its excellence in healthcare, Columbia Asia Hospital – Tebrau (CAH-Tebrau) won Best Hospital while Columbia Asia hospitals in Bintulu and Iskandar Puteri won Best Hospitals (Maternity category), at the Baby Talk & MamaPapa Readers’ Choice Awards 2022 recently. It was a proud moment for Columbia Asia to have three of its hospitals recognized by the very people they commit their services to — their consumers, namely families and businesses.
Columbia Asia is no stranger to Johorians
In the Southern region, the name Columbia Asia has become synonymous with effective and efficient private healthcare services. Hence, it is justified that both Columbia Asia facilities, in Iskandar Puteri and Tebrau, have earned Johor consumers’ attention pertaining to healthcare services. For the relatively new CAH-Tebrau, it has made quite a mark among the residential hub of Kota Southkey in Johor and beyond. In terms of ward capacity and medical disciplines, it has expanded after only three years of operations. As far as health technology is concerned, CAH-Tebrau promotes advanced healing and treatments via its 1.5 Tesla MRI, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, and five fully stocked operation theatres. In addition to recent disciplines such as Oncology, Psychiatry, Pediatric Dentistry, Breast Surgery, Pediatric Surgery and Dermatology, the hospital also just opened a dialysis center under its Nephrology unit in August this year.
Award-winners keep on winning
The ‘older sister’ of the Tebrau facility is Columbia Asia Hospital – Iskandar Puteri (CAH-IP). Established in 2010, CAH-IP is well-known in Johor Bahru. It is also a preferred long-running maternity service provider among communities in and around its Taman Kesihatan Afiat vicinity. Furthermore, it is certainly not a novice at winning awards with its latest being the Brand Laureate World Best Brands Award in the private healthcare facility category. As for Columbia Asia Hospital – Bintulu (CAH-B), this is their second BabyTalk & MamaPapa Readers’ Choice Best Hospital award in the Maternity category; the first award being last year. Together with CAH-IP, both facilities were awarded Best Hospitals in the Maternity category in this year’s award line up, in Johor and Sarawak respectively.
What couples look for in a maternity hospital
In the last trimester, expecting mothers are in need of expert attention and care to make sure that they are well-prepared for childbirth. Choosing a maternity ward with the right facilities is vital especially for high-risk pregnancies. Evidently, the patients must feel safe, secure and well-cared for. The environment must be soothing and conducive such as the delivery rooms, nurseries and maternity wards at CAH-IP and CAH-B.
Medical teams are consistently on call and comprise experienced senior nurses and trained assistants. The maternity services at CAH-IP and CAH-B are all-encompassing, which makes them ideal hospitals for delivery. For example, pre-natal services include workshops and events, to educate new parents on their pregnancy journey while post-natal services focus on topics such as breastfeeding and vaccinations.
Reasonable and comprehensive delivery packages
Maternity services and package rates at CAH-IP and CAH-B are competitive and regarded as value for money, be it for normal or Caesarean deliveries. These include screenings for newborns as well as nursery care, plus BCG and Hepatitis B vaccinations. It also includes consultations with experienced consultants in the fields of obstetrics, gynecology, pediatrics and anesthesia.
The BabyTalk & MamaPapa Readers’ Choice Awards ceremony was held on October 5, 2022 in Petaling Jaya. Columbia Asia Regional Marketing Manager, Miss Gwen Yap, accepted the awards on behalf of the winning hospitals. The awards, now in its eleventh year and running, honors notable brands in the healthcare industry.
