What is Hematology?

Hematology is a branch of internal medicine that focuses on the diagnostic, treatment and prevention of disease and disorders related to blood.

Our specialists, also known as hematologists, studies and provides treatments for various blood-related diseases and disorders which include hemophilia; blood cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma; blood clots; autoimmune disorders like thalassemia; and genetic blood disorders like sickle-cell anemia.

Our medical laboratory provides patients with accurate diagnosis through various blood tests and workups.

Our Hematology department also works together with other specialty departments to provide treatment for various types of blood related cancer.
