
What is MSQH?
- Hospital accreditation is a process that assesses a hospital’s performance against a set of standards.
- In Malaysia, most hospitals go through an accreditation process by Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH).
- MSQH promotes safety and quality in the provision of healthcare services in Malaysia.
- It is in partnership with Malaysia’s Ministry of Health, Association of Private Hospitals Malaysia (APHM) and Malaysian Medical Association (MMA).
- The MSQH accreditation is valid for four years after which, hospitals need to go for another accreditation inspection for the certificate renewal.
- Iskandar Puteri - Columbia Asia Hospital – Iskandar Puteri in Johor received its MSQH status in 2017 making it the first Columbia Asia Hospital to be accredited for its quality healthcare services.
- Puchong - In 2018, Columbia Asia Hospital - Puchong received its 3rd accreditation MSQH as accorded by MSQH’s benchmark for excellent standard of services.
- Bukit Rimau - Columbia Asia Hospital - Bukit Rimau followed suit in 2018 with its 1st cycle accreditation. The hospital is acknowledged for its proven expertise and commitment towards patient care.
- Taiping - In 2019, Columbia Asia Hospital - Taiping was accredited with MSQH, also for its safety and quality in the provision of healthcare services.
- Cheras & Setapak - Also in 2019 are Columbia Asia Hospital - Cheras and Setapak. These facilities received their 1st cycle MSQH accreditation.
- Petaling Jaya - Columbia Asia Hospital - Petaling Jaya receives its full MSQH accreditation status in 2023.
- Klang - Also in 2023, Columbia Asia Hospital - Klang has been awarded 4-year Accreditation status for the 6th Edition of the Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH) standard.
