Columbia Asia Hospital Seremban Brings Health Screening And Preventive Care To Triang Community

PAHANG, 11 April 2026 – Columbia Asia Hospital Seremban successfully organized the Triang Community Health Carnival (直凉健康嘉年华) at SJK (C) Triang 1, Pahang, in collaboration with YB Leong Yu Man, Pahang State EXCO for Unity, Tourism and Culture, and State Assemblywoman for Triang, as well as St. John Ambulance Malaysia (Pahang Tengah Division), with support from Hospital Temerloh and Infinity Medical Sdn. Bhd.

The initiative aimed to bring accessible and affordable health screening services to the Triang community, promote early detection of diseases, and strengthen public health awareness in rural and semi-urban communities. As a neighboring community with limited access to private hospital services, Triang was selected to help bridge healthcare gaps while extending Columbia Asia Hospital Seremban’s specialist services and preventive healthcare initiatives to underserved populations.

The medical team from Columbia Asia Hospital Seremban, comprising Dr. Lau Yu Wei, Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat, Head and Neck Surgeon, as well as pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, provided complimentary health services, including blood pressure and glucose checks, eye and ear screenings, liver ultrasound scans, and 200 complimentary influenza vaccinations, of which 100 were sponsored by the hospital and another 100 by YB Leong Yu Man. The event also featured Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR demonstrations by St. John Ambulance Malaysia, as well as a blood donation drive by Hospital Temerloh.

The carnival attracted approximately 500 community members and highlighted the successful collaboration between public representatives, non-governmental organizations, and private healthcare providers in delivering community-focused healthcare services.

Columbia Asia Hospital Seremban believes that healthcare should not be limited by geography and remains committed to expanding community health outreach programs across underserved communities through preventive screening, health education, vaccination advocacy, and strategic partnerships.
